What’s New in Trading 212 PRO – July 2014 Monthly Digest

Enhanced crosshair and other improvements added

We improve the Trading 212 platforms constantly delivering updates to users almost every week. Here’s an overview of the most important new and enhanced features for the month of July.

Web platform

In July we introduced a number of highly-anticipated enhancements to our technical analysis tools.

The enhanced crosshair now comes with a ruler enabling you to measure the distance between different price points. The new functionality is very useful as it can help you determine when to enter the market and where to set your Take Profit and Stop Loss values.

To develop this new functionality we had to change the way the crosshair previously worked. A left mouse click now launches the ruler and no longer allows you to move back and forth on the chart.

Watch this short video to see how to take advantage of the new functionality:

Enriched chart context menu

Change the chart type, settings, templates and time periods or apply indicators and drawings by right clicking on the chart.

Drag and drop to arrange chart tabs

You can now drag and drop to reorder the open charts in tab mode.

New drawing: Parallel Channel

The new drawing enables you to quickly define the levels of support and resistance by placing two parallel trend lines simultaneously. You can adjust the distance between the lines and their direction by clicking on the dots that appear after the lines have been drawn. You may also adjust their color and thickness by right clicking on the lines.

You can now resize the indicator window positioned below the chart to suit your preferences.

iOS tablet version

We’ve introduced several usability improvements in our iPad app as well:

  • Remember how you could monitor the performance of your open positions over the chart on the app home screen? You can now quickly edit the open positions shown on the chart by tapping them

  • To introduce you to our app, we have added a getting started step-by-step tutorial for new demo accounts, as well as tooltips with hints for already existing demo accounts, to help those of you using the app for the first time

Looking ahead in 2014

We are hard at work developing the highly anticipated split positions as well as many more improvements.

Is there anything else you’d like to see in the platform? Your feedback and suggestions are what drives our roadmap so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts and impressions on existing and desired features.

    1. Hello Aleksey. Your feedback is important to us and we will contact you over the email to kindly ask you for more details regarding your suggestion.

  1. Fantastic! I’ve been looking forward to some of these features, it’s good to see this platform keeps improving.

    1. Thanks for reaching out. We constantly work on improving the Trading 212 PRO platform, so stay tuned for more pleasant surprises.

    1. Your comment has been taken into account. We constantly add new trading instruments to the Trading 212 PRO platform, in case there is an interest towards them.

  2. It would be very helpful to enhance chart capabilities. such as:
    * Allow to place pending orders by clicking direct on a position at the chart
Possibility of viewing pending orders price line values on the chart,
loss stop, take profit levels and drag this lines direct on the chart to
    change the levels.

    * have not found Volume indicators

    thanks for support.

    1. Hello Alfredo. We are already working on developing the chart options you are suggesting and they will be added in the near future. Volume indicators will be added to the Trading 212 PRO platform as well.

  3. Hi Trading 212,

Problem 1: I can’t find volume bar (the one that validates price action movement and interest).

Problem 2: At the bottom right corner where you have EQUITY, LIVE RESULT, MARGIN – you should include BALANCE just before EQUITY, so it completes the picture so I know how much I have originally even after placing a trade.

It will be much appreciated if you can solve all that.

    1. Hello, dcl
the volume bar or indicator is currently unavailable in our platform, but we are working to bring it to our users. Hopefully we’ll have it up and running in the coming months.

Regarding the arrangement of the information at the bottom right of the desktop version, we are looking into how to improve it and we’ll make sure your suggestion gets to our designers.

We usually include all new changes and improvements in our monthly “What’s New” article so keep an eye out for it. Thanks for your input!

      1. Thanks.

Furthermore, I often view 4 of nasdaq graphs in different time frames in one page, but there’s a problem… I want to view another 4 of S&P graphs in one page in another tab (rather than fitting all 8 graphs in a page) – I’m suggesting just like the opening tab functions of an internet browser – can you make it applicable on your trading platform?
