Enhanced crosshair and other improvements added
We improve the Trading 212 platforms constantly delivering updates to users almost every week. Here’s an overview of the most important new and enhanced features for the month of July.
In July we introduced a number of highly-anticipated enhancements to our technical analysis tools.
The enhanced crosshair now comes with a ruler enabling you to measure the distance between different price points. The new functionality is very useful as it can help you determine when to enter the market and where to set your Take Profit and Stop Loss values.
To develop this new functionality we had to change the way the crosshair previously worked. A left mouse click now launches the ruler and no longer allows you to move back and forth on the chart.
Watch this short video to see how to take advantage of the new functionality:
Enriched chart context menu
Change the chart type, settings, templates and time periods or apply indicators and drawings by right clicking on the chart.
Drag and drop to arrange chart tabs
You can now drag and drop to reorder the open charts in tab mode.
New drawing: Parallel Channel
The new drawing enables you to quickly define the levels of support and resistance by placing two parallel trend lines simultaneously. You can adjust the distance between the lines and their direction by clicking on the dots that appear after the lines have been drawn. You may also adjust their color and thickness by right clicking on the lines.
By right clicking on any drawing, you can now customize its color, line thickness and opacity making the information more easy to interpret.
You can now resize the indicator window positioned below the chart to suit your preferences.
iOS tablet version
We’ve introduced several usability improvements in our iPad app as well:
Remember how you could monitor the performance of your open positions over the chart on the app home screen? You can now quickly edit the open positions shown on the chart by tapping them
To introduce you to our app, we have added a getting started step-by-step tutorial for new demo accounts, as well as tooltips with hints for already existing demo accounts, to help those of you using the app for the first time
Looking ahead in 2014
We are hard at work developing the highly anticipated split positions as well as many more improvements.
Is there anything else you’d like to see in the platform? Your feedback and suggestions are what drives our roadmap so please don’t hesitate to share your thoughts and impressions on existing and desired features.
