Our August additions – an improved economic calendar, closing all positions and choosing what account details you see
Summer days and sunshine haven’t stopped us from working actively on the platform and we’ve now implemented new functionalities across the platform. They’re aimed at several different components of the overall trading process – easier access to economic events, focusing on what’s important in your account balance and a new trading option – closing all or some of your positions from one place.
Improved Economic Calendar
We’ve added a new tab on the right side of the desktop version of the platform located below the “News and analyses” tab. By clicking on it, you’ll be able to see an economic calendar with all the planned economic announcements, events and data releases. As is the standard the events are given levels of “importance” with three colours – yellow for less important, orange for a medium level of importance and red for very important. It has to be noted that this colour coding is for what is the perceived importance – not what their impact will be on the market. Occasionally something with an orange
We’ve gone without mentioning the levels of expected and previous data levels for data such as retail sales, inflation, GDP, consumer confidence, etc. But we have included the country where the event or announcement is originating from and the instrument which will be most affected by that data release (on the second row).
Simultaneously closing all positions
The “Close Positions” is a new functionality developed for rapid reactions to changing market conditions and can be performed from a button placed above your open positions. It actually comes with more features than just closing all open trades. You can also make a custom selection for which positions can be closed by several different filters – the direction of the trades (for when then tide is turning), the result (to cut your losses or only to take profits) and by one or many instruments. So instead of clicking multiple times through your open positions, scrolling down to close them one by one you can now make a filter in a quick and easy way and close them through here.
Monitor your funds
A new button at the bottom-right corner of the platform will now provide the ability to pick and choose which account details are visible. You will now be able to select which of the five details – Free Funds, Equity, Live Result, Used Margin and Margin – are displayed on the lowest row of the platform. The selection is provided for those that prefer to focus on different descriptions of what is happening with their account allowing them to make quicker decisions based on the changes in their overall live result from open positions, their margin usage or how much money they have for opening new trades.
